Badminton Squad Eyes SEA Games Redemption

Dec 02, 2025

badminton squad eyes sea games redemption

Our badminton squad try to return to winning ways at the upcoming SEA Games in Thailand.

This, after they failed to win gold in the previous edition in Cambodia.

Team manager Aamar Hashim is keeping mum on specific targets, but assured they will do their best to win gold...

However, our women's shuttlers’ preparations have reportedly suffered a setback, because of a flu outbreak among some of the players.

--

The National Sports Council will cover all additional costs needed to relocate several of our SEA Games athletes from Songkhla, Thailand to Bangkok and Chonburi.

The extra RM500,000 cost is to reduce any disruptions to affected athletes.

Sea Games organisers recently said that 10 sports had to be moved out of Songkhla due to recent floods there, including football, muay thai, pencak silat, karate and wushu.

--

Man City will try to narrow the gap with EPL leaders Arsenal to just 2 points, when City visit Fulham tomorrow morning.

Rodri remains a doubt for City, as the Spaniard continues to struggle for full fitness, while Mateo Kovacic is still sidelined after undergoing ankle surgery.

--

Tottenham will look to improve on their Premier Legue form, when they travel to Newcastle tomorrow morning.

Spurs, who are 12th in the table, have lost 4 of their last 6 matches in the league.
