Mauricio Pochettino never doubted Messi at PSG

PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino has backed Lionel Messi saying he remains the best player in the world.

Pochettino insists that he never doubted Messi despite his slow start to life in Ligue 1.

This, after Messi scored during PSG’s 5-1 victory over defending champions Lille earlier today.

Messi has now scored two league goals in 13 appearances for PSG.

Xavi: Stop booing Dembele

Barcelona boss Xavi has urged fans to stop jeering player Ousmane Dembele.

This after he was greeted with a chorus of boos during their LaLiga win over Atletico Madrid yesterday.

Xavi praised the support they received throughout the match but called on fans to show the same support for Dembele.

The France international has not played for Barca since early last month, after failing to renew his contract, which is set to expire at the end of the season.

Rodgers frustrated following Leicester FA Cup exit

Boss Brendan Rodgers is frustrated following Leicester’s 4-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup this morning.

He admits he is concerned with his team’s lacklustre performance, which saw the defending champions knocked out of the competition.

Meanwhile, Rodgers condemned the action of a supporter who allegedly ran onto the pitch and attacked several Forest players.
