Man Utd have one foot in the Europa League quarters

Man United have responded to their EPL humiliation by Liverpool, with a 4-1 thrashing of Real Betis in their Europa League last-16 first leg tie this morning.

The Red Devils fielded an unchanged starting eleven from last weekend... with Marcus Rashford, Antony, Bruno Fernandes and Wout Weghorst all on the scoresheet at Old Trafford.

Rashford has now scored 26 goals this season in all competitions, the exact same number of goals he netted in his last two seasons combined.

The win also means United have now extended their unbeaten run at home to 20 games in all competitions.

In other Europa League last-16 first leg results, Arsenal were held to a thrilling 2-2 draw away to Sporting Lisbon,

Roma cruised past Real Sociedad 2-0,

While Juventus edged Freiburg 1-0.

UK reports suggest that Tottenham have no immediate plans to sack manager Antonio Conte despite their Champions League exit.

This, after the Italian said yesterday that he may leave the club before the end of the season.
