Tottenham in talks to sign Fonseca as Mourinho's replacement

Tottenham are reportedly in advanced talks with former Roma boss Paulo Fonseca.

The 48-year-old is currently available after being replaced at the Serie A club by Jose Mourinho…who was himself sacked by Spurs towards the end of last season.

Tottenham are currently desperate for a new manager before the start of the new campaign, having earlier failed to get Antonio Conte and Mauricio Pochettino.

Spain has called up as many as 17 reserves to form a parallel squad for Euro 2020.

This, after Diego Llorente became the second player after captain Sergio Busquets to contract Covid-19.

The Spanish FA says the 17 backup players are training away from the main squad, and may be called up to play at the Euros, if the infection spreads to other players in the first-choice team.

The majority of ASEAN nations do not agree with proposals to postpone this year’s SEA Games.

The Olympic Council of Malaysia says after a virtual meeting of SEA Games Federation members yesterday, we were one of eight countries calling for the Games to go ahead as planned, so as not to disrupt next year’s schedule.

Hosts Vietnam had earlier informed its counterparts about its intention to postpone this November’s event, as it battles with a fresh wave of Covid-19 infections.

Rafa Nadal is thru to a record-extending 14^th French Open semifinal, after beating Diego Schwartzmen in four sets.

The defending champion will next take on Novak Djokovic, who also needed four sets to overcome Matteo Berrettini.
