May 13, 2025

ancelotti confirmed for brazil

Its confirmed that Carlo Ancelotti will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season, to take charge of the Brazil national team.

He leaves Real as one of its most successful managers…winning 15 trophies across two spells, including last season’s Champions League and La Liga double.

Ancelotti will officially take charge of Brazil on the 26th, as the five-time champions seek their first World Cup title since 2002.

This comes amid speculation that Real are hoping to bring in Xabi Alonso to replace Ancelotti, in time for next month’s Club World Cup.

Outgoing Man City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is reportedly considering a move to Napoli.

The 33-year-old had earlier been linked with a switch to Major League Soccer…but is now said to prefer the Serie A as he wants to continue playing at the highest level.

-

Elsewhere, Luis Diaz says he’s willing to consider spending the rest of this career at Liverpool, despite interest in the 28-year-old forward from a number of La Liga and Saudi Pro League clubs.

Malaysia are the champions of the quadrant event at the Asian Sepaktakraw Cup after beating Japan in the final.

However, the Malaysians had to settle for the runners-up spot behind Thailand in the doubles event.
