malaysian shuttlers advance to second round of singapore open

Malaysians advance

Three Malaysian men’s doubles pairs have made the second round of the Singapore Badminton Open.

They are Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzuddin…Ong Yew Sin-Teo Ee Yi…and Goh V Shem-Low Juan Shen.

A further 12 Malaysian reps – including mixed doubles pair Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai - will be in action later today.

Opening win for Red Devils

Man United have beaten Liverpool 4-0 in their pre-season friendly in Bangkok.

Jadon Sancho, Fred, Anthony Martial and Facundo Pellistri were all on the scoresheet for the Red Devils.

This was also Erik Ten Hag’s first game as new United boss.

Sterling on the verge of Chelsea switch

Raheem Sterling is flying out to the US to join up with the Chelsea squad, ahead of his transfer from Man City.

The striker has agreed a five-year contract with the Blues worth 50 million pounds.

The move is expected to be officially announced within the next 48 hours, meaning Sterling could be available for Chelsea’s opening pre-season tour match this weekend.

Raphinha on the way to Barca

Leeds United have reportedly accepted Barcelona’s offer for attacker Raphinha…which could rise to over 57 million pounds after add-ons.

However, Barca will have to sort out their finances first, before they’re allowed to register any new signings for the upcoming season.

The deal for Raphinha also means that Barca can now focus on selling Frenkie De Jong to Man United…with the Catalan side to use the money to balance their books.
