Brendan Rodgers brushes off Newcastle rumours

Brendan Rodgers says he’s not interested in becoming Newcastle’s new manager.

The Leicester City boss was named as a possible candidate for the job with the Magpies, following their takeover by wealthy new owners.

Rodgers, however, says he’s happy with Leicester, and believes there’s a lot more he can achieve with his current squad.

England should find out next week if they’ll have to play any of their upcoming matches behind closed doors.

UEFA will hold a disciplinary meeting on Monday, to discuss the crowd trouble that occurred at Wembley stadium, during the Euro 2020 final between England and Italy.

It saw fans clash with police before the game…with hundreds of ticketless fans also breaking into the ground.

The national hockey team has broken into the top 10 of the world rankings once again.

It comes after the Speedy Tigers defeated Wales on their recent tour of the UK.

The last time Malaysia was in the top 10, was back in 2004.

The national team is currently preparing for December’s Asian Champions Trophy, where more ranking points will be on offer.
