Ronaldo Sees Red As Portugal Slump To Irish Defeat

Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off for the first time in his international career…as Portugal slumped to a shock 2-0 defeat to the Republic of Ireland in their World Cup qualifier this morning.
The Portuguese still top their group but will be without their captain for the crucial final game against Armenia this weekend.
In other selected results…Norway are on the verge of qualifying for their first World Cup in 28 years after a 4-1 win over Estonia.
Italy kept their qualification hopes alive with a 2-0 victory over Moldova.
While France officially secured their spot at next year’s tournament with a 4-0 thrashing of Ukraine.
