Man Utd Edge Lyon In The Europa League

Man United have made the Europa League semifinals after a dramatic victory over Lyon in the second leg of their quarterfinal at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils scored twice in the closing stages of extra-time to win 5-4 this morning and 7-6 on aggregate.

United will now go on to face Athletic Bilbao who defeated Rangers 2-0 this morning and on aggregate.

Meanwhile, Tottenham also snuck into the semis…beating Eintracht Frankfurt 1-0 this morning and 2-1 on aggregate.

Up next for Spurs will be a semifinal tie against Bodo-Glimt…who needed penalties to overcame Lazio.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have made the semis of the UEFA Conference League.

They came away 4-2 winners on aggregate over Legia Warsaw despite a 2-1 defeat in the second leg of their quarterfinal this morning.

In tennis…French Open organisers say there will be a special ceremony at this year’s edition to honour Rafa Nadal, who retired last year after winning 14 of his 22 career Grand Slam titles at Roland Garros.
