Lucky Bayern Stay In The Champions League

Bayern Munich have scrapped through to the last-16 of the Champions League in dramatic fashion.
The German giants scored deep into injury-time to salvage a 1-1 draw with Celtic in the second-leg of their playoff this morning to advance 3-2 on aggregate.
In other results…
Feyenoord played out a 1-all draw with AC Milan to go through 2-1 on aggregate.
Brugge defeated Atalanta 3-1 this morning and 5-2 on aggregate.
While Benfica are through 4-3 on aggregate, after a 3-all draw with Monaco this morning.

Back home…JDT defeated Pohang Steelers 5-2 in their final group game to make the last-16 of the Asian Champions League Elite.
The Southern Tigers will next face another Korean side, Gwangju FC in the knockout round.

In other developments… the national track cycling team has confirmed that Shah Firdaus Sahrom has been cleared to compete in the individual sprint event at the Asian Championships which start this weekend.
There had earlier been doubts about his participation, due to a knee injury.

And, Formula One is looking into forcing drivers to make at least two pit stops at the Monaco GP.
Its meant to make the race more exciting, amid widespread complaints that the GP has become too predictable, because overtaking is nearly impossible along the tight street circuit.
