Malaysia will now take on South Africa in the fifth-to-eighth classification tie tomorrow.

This was Xabi Alonso’s first competitive game in charge of the Spanish giants.

Another result saw Man City open their campaign with a comfortable 2-0 win over Wydad Casablanca.

The Premier League is warning fans that next season’s fixtures could be moved at short notice, due to the number of teams playing in Europe.

A record nine EPL sides will be participating in UEFA competitions…making it likely that domestic games will have to be rescheduled, if the teams reach the latter stages of their respective competitions.

Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk is facing a four-year ban, after being charged by the FA for violating anti-doping rules.

The Ukraine international had been provisionally suspended back in December after failing a routine drugs test.

-

Reports say Viktor Gyokeres is refusing all attempts to keep him at Sporting Lisbon, with the player even prepared to go on strike to force a summer exit amid interest from Man United and Arsenal.
