Arsenal Scrape Into EFL Cup Semis

Kepa Arrizabalaga was the hero for Arsenal, saving a crucial spot kick to give them an 8-7 penalty shootout win over Crystal Palace in the EFL Cup quarterfinal this morning.

The match had ended 1-1 after regulation time.

The Gunners will next go on to face London rivals Chelsea in the semis while Newcastle and Man City will contest the other last four encounter.

In selected results from the Africa Cup of Nations, Sadio Mane’s Senegal defeated Botswana 3-0.

Atalanta striker Ademola Lookman scored the winner as Nigeria recorded a 2-1 win over Tanzania.

While Tunisia overcame Uganda 3-1.

Back home in Malaysian Super League action…Selangor defeated PDRM 3-1.

Sabah overcame Terengganu FC also 3-1.

While Brunei DPMM beat Penang 2-0.
