Roma have ended their 14-year trophy drought by winning the inaugural Europa Conference League title.
The Serie A side defeated Feyenoord 1-0 in the final of Europe’s third-tier club competition, with Nicolo Zaniolo netting the only goal of the game in the first half.
This is Roma’s first major European honour, and their first trophy since the 2008 Coppa Italia.

The victory also assured manager Jose Mourinho a place in the history books.
He is now the first manager to win all of UEFA’s major trophies, having previously won the Champions League and UEFA Cup with Porto, the Champions League with Inter Milan and the Europa League with Man United.
Mourinho also maintains his perfect record of having won all five European finals that he has contested in.

Mo Salah has assured he will remain at Liverpool, at least for another season.
The striker, however, did not say if he will sign a new contract, when his current deal expires next summer.
Meanwhile, Salah’s striker partner Sadio Mane says he will make an announcement about his own future, after this Sunday’s Champions League final against Real Madrid.

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is facing up to eight months on the sidelines, after undergoing a knee operation.
The 40-year-old had earlier said he wants to remain with Milan for another season, but his lengthy layoff could cast doubt over his future.
