Jan 16, 2019

Fifth seed Kevin Anderson has become the biggest casualty at the Australian Tennis Open so far.

Anderson, who reached last year's Wimbledon Final , crashed out in the second round, losing in four sets to Frances Tiafoe.

Frenchman Gael Monfils is also out, after a four-sets defeat to Taylor Fritz.

The two American youngsters join Roger Federer, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Tomas Berdych, Marin Cilic and Diego Schwartzman in the next tound.

Over in the women's draw, defending champion Caroline Wozniacki, Angelique Kerber and Aryna Sabalenka all progressed.
