Belgium pays respects to Brussels attack victims

Mar 30, 2016

Belgium's football team held a minute's silence in tribute to the 35 victims killed in the Brussels attack, before their 2-1 friendly defeat in Portugal.

The tragedy last week forced the match to be moved from Belgium's capital to Leiria for safety reasons.

It is the second successive Belgium friendly affected by terror attacks, following the cancelation of the match against Spain last November, due to the Paris atrocities.

Meanwhile, France beat Russia 4-2 in Paris, their first appearence at the stadium which was a target in the attacks last year, which killed 130 people.
