Chelsea open their Premiership campaign with a win

Chelsea have made a winning start to the Premiership season with a 3-1 win over Brighton.

Another match saw Wolves get their campaign underway, with an impressive 2-0 win over Sheffield United.

Messi tops money list again

Barcelona's Lionel Messi has once again topped Forbes Magazine's list of the highest-earning footballers in 2020.

The Argentine's yearly earnings are estimated to stand at 126 million US dollars, ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo - who is second on the list with 117 million.

Only three Premier League players - Mo Salah, Paul Pogba and David de Gea - made the top 10.

Growing calls to postpone Thomas and Uber Cup finals

The Olympic Council of Malaysia is the latest to ask for this, saying its the best decision amid the global Covid-19 pandemic. 

So far, Indonesia, South Korea, Thailand, Taiwan and Australia have already pulled out of the tournaments citing concerns over the coronavirus.
