Ex-boss holding back Manchester United players

Sep 21, 2016

Former manager Louis van Gaal is reportedly holding back Manchester United players.

New boss Jose Mourinho says the team is struggling to give up van Gaal's possession-based game, for his more direct approach.

United have suffered a run of 3 straight losses which has frustrated Mourinho, who wants them to be quicker in their transition from defence to attack.

Meanwhile critics feel the Portugese is also struggling to fit big-name summer signings like Zlatan Ibrahimovic into the same line-up as captain Wayne Rooney.
