Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel to leave F1 team
May 12, 2020
Ferrari has confirmed that Sebastian Vettel will leave the F1 team at the end of the season.
This, after earlier reports said that contract talks between Vettel and Ferrari broke down, with the German rejecting Ferrari's offer of a lower salary.
However, Vettel insists that financial issues had nothing to do with the decision to leave.
Vettel’s immediate future in F1 remains unclear, as Motorsport.com says it's unlikely that he will take a seat at fellow front-runners Mercedes or Red Bull.
This leaves the prospect of him joining a midfield team, or quitting F1 altogether.
Meanwhile it's not clear who will partner Charles Leclerc at Ferrari next year.
Danny Rose not happy with EPL's return plan
Tottenham's Danny Rose has slammed plans for the EPL to return to action next month.
The defender, who's currently on-loan at Newcastle is against the notion of using football to raise the people's morale, following the COVID-19 lockdown.
He says bringing football back too soon would only put people's lives at risk, adding the issue should not even be discussed until there's a massive drop in the UK's coronavirus infections and deaths.
Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings agrees with this, saying that health concerns should be the number one issue.
Neymar to reportedly leave PSG
Neymar has reportedly told PSG that he wants to leave the French club.
According to Spanish reports, the Brazilian superstar informed PSG he has no intention of signing a new contract, and instead wants to re-join former club Barcelona.
The report also says that PSG COULD give him his wish and will instead focus on tying teammate Kyllian Mbappe down to a new deal.
