They are the second team to confirm their place at next year's tournament after Belgium.

Meanwhile, Spain are just one point away from qualification...after they played out a 1-1 draw with Norway.

The match also saw Sergio Ramos make his 168th appearance for the Spaniards...to become the most-capped outfield player in Europe.

In transfer news...

Bayern Munich have reportedly joined the race for Christian Eriksen.

Sources in Europe say the German champions could make a move for the Tottenham midfielder in January, with Real Madrid and Man United also interested in the player.

Meanwhile, Tottenham striker Harry Kane and Man United's Marcus Rashford are reportedly on Barcelona's shortlist of summer signings.

Barca are widely expected to make a move for a new forward before the start of the next season as a long-term replacement for Luis Suarez.

Marathon Man

Eliud Kipchoge has become the first athlete ever to run a marathon in under two hours.

The Kenyan beat the mark by 20 seconds at an event in Austria...although it will not be recognised as an official world record because it was not an open competition, and Kipchoge had a support team.

Ireland advance

Ireland are thru to the quarterfinals of the Rugby World Cup with a 47-5 win over Samoa.

Their final position in Pool A will depend on the result of the Japan-Scotland game later today.
