Man Utd complete first league double over Man City since 2009/10

Mar 09, 2020

Manchester United have won the 182nd Manchester derby, beating Manchester City 2-nil at Old Trafford.

Anthony Martial put United in the lead at the half-hour mark, long before Scott McTominay found the back of the net at the very end of stoppage time.

After the match, United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer told BBC Sport, "It's a privilege to be their manager. They give absolutely everything. They know they are all good players, but they want to learn as well."

The result sees United move back up to fifth, and close the gap on the top four to three points, after Chelsea's 4-nil win over Everton.

City's loss also means Liverpool need only two more wins to clinch the Premier League title.
