Manchester United becomes first British football club to earn over half a billion pounds in a year

Manchester United has become the first British football club to earn more than half a billion pounds in a single year, after announcing a total revenue of 515.3 million pounds.

Meanwhile, it's been revealed that United paid out 8.4 million pounds to former boss Louis van Gaal and his coaches after they were sacked in May.

United are also understood to have written off 6.7 million pounds on ex-Germany captain Bastian Schweinsteiger.
