Malaysian squash queen Datuk Nicol David has been named the International World Games Association’s Greatest Athlete of All-Time.
The eight-time world champion – who also won 81 professional titles over the course of her career - had been the overwhelming favourite for the award, getting more than 318 thousand votes in the online polling.
Nicol was the only Asian representative shortlisted for the award, which saw 23 past and present athletes in the running for the honour.
Never Barca
PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino has ruled out ever taking charge at Barcelona.

He says his close connection to Barca’s cross-town rivals Espanyol – whom he both played for and managed – makes a move to the Nou Camp impossible.
Pochettino had been widely reported to be in the running for the Barca job, before Ronald Koeman eventually took over.
No vaccine queue-cutting for footballers
Footballers should not be given priority when it comes to Covid-19 vaccines.
This comes from FIFA president Gianni Infantino himself, who says he is not a supporter of footballers jumping the queue, because frontliners and the vulnerable should be the first people to be vaccinated.
Infantino says he understands that some athletes may need the vaccines with major international sporting events coming up…but they also need to respect the order of distribution.
Reds boost their defence

Liverpool have signed defender Ben Davies from Preston for just under 2 million pounds to help ease the pressure on the club’s injury-ravaged defence.
The Reds have also secured a loan move for Schalke center-back Ozan Kabak.
It comes following confirmation that Joel Matip will miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury, joining fellow defenders Virgil Van Dijk and Joe Gomez on the sidelines.
