No training for Italian football clubs today
May 18, 2020
Italian football clubs will not start full training today, as previously planned.
Reports say this because Serie A clubs disagree with several medical guidelines issued by the Italian govt on COVID-19 prevention measures.
This includes the requirement for the whole squad to undergo 14 days of quarantine if a single player becomes infected.
The clubs argue that isolating the infected player should be enough.
For now, teams are conducting individual or small-group training, in line with social distancing guidelines.
