Pep: Battle of nerves for Premiership title

Apr 28, 2019

Who'll hold their nerve?

This year's Premier League title will come down to who handles the pressure better between now and the end of the season.

This is according to Man City boss Pep Guardiola...who says that every game from now on will be more difficult, because of what's at stake.

City are second in the table, two points behind leaders Liverpool...although they can regain their one point lead if they beat Burnley later tonight.

Spurs falter at home

Tottenham have suffered the first defeat at their new stadium...falling to a 1-nil loss to West Ham in the Premier League.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino put it down to the stress and fatigue of a busy fixture list, which has already seen them play seven matches in all competitions this month.

The defeat leaves Spurs in third place...although they are still not certain of a top-four finish with two matches remaining for them this season.

Unstoppable Barca

Barcelona are champions of Spain once again after their 1-0 win over Levante wrapped up their fourth La Liga title in five years.

This is the Catalan side's 26th league title overall...bringing them closer to Real Madrid's record of 33 La Liga crowns.

Barca could now also go on to complete the treble, with the Catalan side still in contention for the Champions League and Copa Del Rey titles.

The La Liga victory will be a confidence booster for Leo Messi and co. as they prepare to face Liverpool in the Champions League semifinals this coming week.
