Poch: I will not criticise my Tottenham players

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino says he's not going to criticise his players amid a slump in form, adding that winning is the only way to stop the scrutiny.

Spurs are currently on a three-match losing streak after their defeat to Inter Milan in the Champions League this week.

Its the first time they've lost three in a row under Pochettino.

The slump also comes amid questions about Harry Kane's fitness, Hugo Lloris' drink-driving charge, and delays with their new stadium.

However, Pochettino remains positive, saying a victory at Brighton this weekend will help lift the pressure off the squad.

Emre Can: Sorry

Juventus midfielder Emre Can has apologised for sexist comments about Cristiano Ronaldo's Champions League dismissal at Valencia.

Can had earlier questioned Ronaldo's dismissal for allegedly pulling an opponent's hair, saying they were not a bunch of women.

The midfielder, however, has now backtracked, saying there was no intention to degrade women.

Meanwhile, Juve will be without Ronaldo for their next Champions League match against Young Boys, as he serves a one-match ban.

However, reports say the Portuguese star should be back for their tie against his former team Man United next month, as UEFA will not take further action against him.

In other news:

F1 race director Charlie Whiting has brushed off suggestions for teams to run three cars in a race.

He says the smaller teams would never agree to the plan, as it would mean the bigger outfits will end up dominating the podium even more.
