Rafael Nadal ends this year as world No.1

Nov 02, 2017

Rafael Nadal will end this year as world number one, after posting his 2nd-round win at the Paris Tennis Masters.

Thanks to the victory, Nadal now has an unassailable lead ahead of the World Tour Finals in London later this month.

The Spaniard started the year at number 9, after a wrist injury forced him to cut short his campaign last season.

31-year-old Nadal is also the oldest player to finish the season as world number one.
