Mendy is officially Chelsea's No.1 stopper

New Chelsea signing signing Eduard Mendy is officially their no.1 goalkeeper.

Blues boss Frank Lampard confirmed this, saying the Senegal international has already proven himself worthy of the position.

This, after Mendy shrugged off a thigh problem to start in their Champions League clash against Sevilla this morning, and kept a clean sheet in the goalless draw.

Meanwhile, Chelsea legend Petr Cech has been included in their Premier League squad as a back-up keeper.

He retired from playing last year, and currently serves as their technical director.
