Reds Have Salah All To Themselves

Feb 08, 2019

Reds Dont Have To Share Salah

Liverpool's title hopes have been given a massive boost - after Egyptian striker Mo Salah was granted a break from international duties.

Egypt are set to play a friendly and an African Nations Cup qualifier next month, but have decided that Salah need not return for them.

This means he'll be free to feature for Liverpool, as the Reds enter the final stretch of the Premiership title race.

Queiroz Begins A New Challenge

Former Portugal and Iran coach Carlos Queiroz has been named as the new head coach of Colombia.

He replaces Jose Pekerman, who stepped down after Colombia were knocked out of last year's World Cup by England in the last-16.

Besides his stints with Portugal and Iran, Queiroz also had a spell managing Real Madrid...and had served as Sir Alex Ferguson's assistant at Manchester United.

More Stadium Woes

Tottenham have given an update about their new stadium - saying it will probably be ready only by mid-March.

This means that the North London derby between Spurs and Arsenal will have to be played at Wembley.

Tottenham were originally scheduled to move into their new ground in September, but the project has suffered construction delays and issues with safety.
