He is the only Msian left in the men's singles draw, following the exit of Chong Wei Feng.

Meanwhile, fellow Msians, Vivian Hoo/Yap Cheng Wen, Chow Mei Kuan/Lee Meng Yean and Ong Yew Sin/Teo Ee Yi have all made the cut into the second round of their respective categories.

Holders Manchester City have booked their spot in the EFL Cup final, thanks to their 1-nil win over Burton Albion in the semifinal second leg this morning.

Sergio Aguero scored the only goal of the match, to complete a 10-nil victory on aggregate.

City will next take on either Tottenham or Chelsea in the February 24th final.

And, ex-England captain David Beckham has bought a 10 percent stake in lower-league club Salford City. 

He will become part-owner, alongside his former Man United teammates Gary and Phil Neville, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt.
