Southgate to players: No shenanigans please

Oct 08, 2020

England players have been told NOT to get involved in anymore off-pitch antics, or it could derail the team in major tournaments.

Boss Gareth Southgate said this, after Jadon Sancho, Tammy Abraham and Ben Chilwell were dropped for tomorrow morning's friendly against Wales, for breaching the UK govt's COVID-19 guidelines by attending a party recently.

This, just a month after Phil Foden and Mason Greenwood were sent home for another breach of coronavirus prevention rules.

Apparently, Messi was persuaded to join the Blues after a long phone call with Mourinho.

But ultimately, a move failed to materialise.
