Tottenham are through to the final of the English League Cup after a 2-0 win over Brentford this morning.

Moussa Sissoko headed Spurs in front in the first half, before Son Heung Min sealed the win in the second period.

Jose Mourinho’s side will next take on the winners of tomorrow’s other semifinal between Man City and Man United, with the final to take place in late April.

Spurs are seeking their first major trophy since winning the League Cup 13 years ago.

Premiership sees record high Covid cases

A record-high 40 players and staff from Premier League clubs have tested positive for Covid-19 in the latest round of weekly screenings.

This is more than double the figure from the last week.

However, there is no indication at this point if any matches will be postponed as a result of the latest infections.

Three matches in the English top-flight were cancelled last week because of Covid-19 outbreaks at individual clubs.

Thank you, Shalin
