The termination of Zainal Abidin Hassan's contract was not due to financial reasons.

The Selangor MB says the termination of Zainal Abidin Hassan's contract as Selangor head coach was down to the team's overall performance and not financial reasons.
He says the move, which was made yesterday, was needed to make The Red Giants a feared team, once again.
Assistant head coach K. Gunalan is the acting head coach for the remaining Super League and Malaysia Cup matches this season.
