Toure turns down massive salary to stay with Manchester City

Jan 18, 2017

Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure reportedly turned down a move to China that would have seen him earn 520 thousand Pounds a week.

His agent says Chinese club Jiangsu Suning contacted him for a 2nd time in the current window, but the Ivorian wants to stay at City to play at the highest level.

Toure has clawed his way back into City's first-team plans in recent months, after a difficult start under manager Pep Guardiola.
