Vardy inspires Leicester to their fifth Premiership win of the season

Leicester City have recorded an emphatic 4-1 Premiership victory away to Leeds this morning.

Jamie Vardy was involved in three of the Foxes’ goals, setting up two and scoring one.
The result moves the Foxes up to second in the table, one point behind leaders Liverpool.

This is also the first time Leicester have won five of their opening seven matches in a top-flight campaign.
Meanwhile, Fulham secured their first Premiership win of the season, beating West Brom 2-0.
The result ensures that the Cottagers are now out of the bottom three, while West Brom remain without a win this season.
Late fitness test for Matip
Liverpool are hoping for some good news in defense ahead of their Champions League clash against Atalanta tomorrow.

Defender Joel Matip – who’s missed the last four matches due to injury – is back in training, and faces a late fitness test to see if he’s ready to play.
The Reds have already lost center-back Virgil Van Dijk to a potentially long-term injury, while stand-in defender Fabinho also sustained a hamstring problem in last week’s European tie.
Covid crisis at Ajax
Ajax has had 11 players, including several first-team members test positive for Covid-19, ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League tie against Midtjylland.

Those affected are now undergoing further tests to confirm the earlier results.
The Amsterdam club is hoping that if the second tests come back negative, the players will be given special permission from UEFA to fly in to Denmark at the last minute for the game.
Mercedes rubbish Hamilton quit rumours…again
The Mercedes F1 team have once again rubbished concerns that Lewis Hamilton could quit the outfit, even after the driver himself suggested this could be his final season in the sport.

Sources within the team say they fully expect Hamilton to sign an extension to his soon-to-be-expired contract, with the deal to be finalized before the end of the year.
