Venus Williams rises to reach third round in Australian Open

Venus Williams is through to the third round of the Australian Tennis Open.
She needed three sets to get past Alize Cornet, and will next face top seed Simona Halep.
Halep also needed 3 sets to get past her American opponent.
Naomi Osaka, Hsieh Su-Wei, Elina Svitolina, Karolina Pliskova and Madison Keys also advanced to the third round.
In the men's draw, David Goffin, Milos Raonic and Kei Nishikori were among the big names who advanced.
